The Purifying Fire

A good book i've checked out from a nearby library is a great story for those of you who love Magic the Gathering and might draw those who don't into the series. The Purifying Fire, written by Laura Resnick, is about an aspiring pyromancer and planeswalker, Chandra Nalaar, in her attempts to get a scroll of unbelievable fire magic back to her home, and ends up ending a prophecy involving her and a flame of infinite white magic, known as the Purifying Fire. in her adventure, she ends up(in no particular order) in 2 different planes of existance, one of which is covered in infinite darkness, destroys a titanic library, Breaks out of a prison, and causes a tribe of small, temperamental creatures to put a bounty on her head . The book is fun to read, and requires no knowledge of Magic the Gathering to read. I would Recommend this book not only to a friend (who isn't really into anything involving Magic)but anyone who wants to read something of the Fantasy Genre. this book is enjoyable to the point where it inspired me to try to get a Chandra Nalaar card to add to my 11/12ths Red Deck (I wish they were easier to find then they are)
